The immediate surroundings of Vislust
The vacation park offers ideal conditions to undertake already in the direct environment some things. The recreational opportunities are very diverse. In the village Onderdijk there is a SPAR market, a snack bar, two pubs, a mini golf course and a large adventure playground “Neshof” – The manager of the park has the tickets ready for park guests.
In the nearest village Wervershoof (4 minutes by car) you can do good shopping. A few minutes walk away is directly the Ijsselmeer. There is a large bird sanctuary here and some shell and sand beaches along the water towards Medemblik.
Here the water is very shallow, so that even children can have their bathing fun. There is an indoor swimming pool in the neighboring vacation park, as well as in Wervershoof.

Distance: directly accessible from our island
Swimming in the lake: The lake “De Groote Vliet” is only about 170 cm deep on its entire extension. There is a swimming ladder at our jetty terrace.

There is a bike rental in Onderdijk (LAKKIE) – from the park exit about 100 meters to the right on the opposite side. The owner speaks and understands German well.
Around the lake there are many flies and waterways, even into Medemblik. Also by bike and on foot, the immediate surroundings (eg around the lake, along the Ijsselmeer or Medemblik city center) can be explored very nicely.

Recreation area “Vooroever
Distance: 4 KM
The recreational area “Vooroever” stretches from Medemblik via Onderdijk to Andijk.
Bathing bays with sandy and shell beaches invite you to sunbathe, relax and swim in the Ijsselmeer. Barbecue, dog meadows, wind or kite surfing and in the middle of it all the Steam Engine Museum (Stoommaschinemuseum) for young and old.

are therefore also accessible by car.
Sports, games, history & enjoyment
Not only in the immediate vicinity of our vacation park the recreational possibilities are enormous. Whether hiking or biking around the lake “Groote Vliet” or along the Ijsselmeer to Medemblik, water sports on the Ijsselmeer (motor boating, sailing, kite surfing, etc.) or leisurely gliding through the countless Vliete by rowing or motor boat – even a small boat trip directly from the park to downtown Medemblik is possible. In Onderdijk there is a mini golf course and for the little ones a large adventure playground. Emmapark in Medemblik, with a large playground, miniature golf, restaurant and petting zoo, is also recommended, and just a few minutes’ walk from the park you can enjoy sandy and shell beaches on the Ijsselmeer. There are also areas with dog runs. Also just a few minutes away is a golf course.
Around our vacation park the province of Noord-Holland (Dat Hart van Nederland) has of course much more in store. From the many quaint harbor towns of Medemblik, Enkhuizen and Hoorn with their museums and historic downtowns, to Alkmaar with its world-famous cheese market, to a day trip to the vibrant, colorful capital of Amsterdam.
And in only 35 minutes by car you are directly at the North Sea (Egmond, Bergen and Callantsoog) with its beautiful sandy beaches.
